Home Carers Direct and NDIS Funding

Support workers who use the Home Carers Direct platform offer a broad range of services, making it easier to find a perfect match for you.

While Home Carers Direct is not an NDIS service provider – it IS an online platform where people with disabilities (or their family members) can search for, connect with, and directly engage, support workers.

There are a number of ways you can build your team:

1. – Search, Connect, and Book

Search for a carer who matches your preferences, filtering by qualifications, availability, and more.

Connect directly with support workers in your area using our internal messaging system.

Book care online, safely and securely using state of the art online system.

2. – Create a Job Post

Simply provide details of the care you need. Enter the times and days as well as the location. Support workers in your area will contact you directly if they are able to help.

3. – Bring Your Support Worker With You

When you bring your existing support worker with you to Home Carers Direct you receive the benefits of comprehensive insurance, safe and secure payments, and invoicing all taken care of.

If you are an NDIS participant, regardless of whether you are self-managed or plan managed, there are ways for you to engage support workers using the Home Carers Direct platform.

If you are self-managing your funding, you will be able to seek reimbursement for the care you pay for directly from the NDIA by using the simple invoicing and reporting system available within your account.

If your funding is plan managed, you can hire the support workers on the Home Carers Direct platform directly and seek reimbursement from your NDIS plan manager by forwarding the invoices that are automatically generated by our platform. You will need to ensure that the services you are paying for are under the NDIS maximum prices. Your plan manager can help you establish this before you book for support.
