  1. Can organisations be Care Seekers on Home Carers Direct?

    Yes. Organisations can be care seekers either to engage a care provider of a client's choice under consumer directed care or to hire casual staff.

    Registering an account will allow you to view care provider profiles in full, contact them using the messaging system and arrange and manage bookings.

    An organisation account can have multiple users - allowing access to particular staff members, be that coordinators, case managers or plan managers, as the case may be.

    You can manage bookings for multiple clients, too - you just need to register them as care recipients within your account.

  2. Can multiple staff have access to an organisation's account?

    Yes. Each staff member will have their own username and password to access the organisation's account. Additional staff can be added from within the account.

  3. Can an organisation manage bookings for multiple individual clients?

    Yes. You can manage bookings for multiple individual clients, you just need to register them as care recipients within the account and provide an emergency contact for each, as well as their date of birth.

  4. Our organisation manages care for individual clients. Can we use Home Carers Direct?

    Yes. Organisations including approved providers can use Home Carers Direct. You can register each client as a care recipient and arrange and manage bookings for them.

    Organisations using Home Carers Direct can contact care providers using the platform's messaging system and independently verify any aspect of the care provider's profile.

  5. Our organisation provides care for groups clients. Can we use Home Carers Direct?

    Yes. Organisations including aged care homes can use Home Carers Direct. You can create representative groups within your account (e.g. aged care; male and female) for which you make and manage bookings for the organisation. The representative group informs the care provider's choice when deciding whether to accept the booking.

    Yes. Care Providers are permitted to offer services only in accordance with qualification and experience categories.

  8. Do organisations pay a fee to use Home Carers Direct?

    Yes. Care Seekers (including organisations) are charged a 5% hosting fee to cover the hosting and administration functions Home Carers Direct provides. Depending on your payment method, transaction fees may also apply.
